Little Miss Reagan Kay is Twenty-Three Months Old!!

What a happy baby!

Here is some of what Reagan has been up to this month:

• Books: Put Me in the Zoo and Silly Sally have been Reagan’s favorite books this month and we’ve read them again and again and again!
• Talking: Reagan is talking even more than ever and this month started saying “Oh no” (while putting her hands on her cheeks when something falls or something is wrong. She says it very dramatically and it is ridiculously cute!
• Understanding: Reagan is a sponge and while she might not say everything, she definitely understands everything we say and reacts accordingly! We’ve been working with her more on her letters and colors, and she is doing really well with them!
• Helping: Helping is one of Reagan’s favorite things and she is quick to help us with anything we might be doing. Her favorite things to help with are anything that involves tools, the outside, water, or cooking! If it involves picking up her toys or changing her diaper (or getting her dressed) she doesn’t like to help quite so much.

• Playing: Reagan has been coloring a lot (markers and crayons) and also loves to get her letter and 3 letter word cards out and go through them.

• Outdoors:  The outdoors is still one of Reagan’s favorite things and she really does love being outside!!
• Getting into things: Reagan is an absolute pro at getting into things. She is super quick, can open just about everything (including every door in the house), and loves to make huge messes.

Yep! This is fun!!

• Nursing: Reagan is still enjoying her momma milk in the morning when we wake up, throughout the day if I’m home, and nurses to sleep (and throughout the night).
• Solid Food: Reagan is still a pretty good eater, but definitely has her days where she doesn’t eat a lot of solids and then makes up for it by nursing a lot.
• Sleeping: Reagan is still sleeping pretty good. No night wake-ups, but still dream nursing on and off (but not as much) during the night.
• Favorite things: Baby, coloring, tools, playing in the sink, emptying drawers, making messes, and reading books, and her letter cards!

Reagan is an amazing little girl and it’s hard to believe another month has passed! We can’t wait to see what next month brings!

Twenty-Three Month Video

Up until recently (like the last month or so) Reagan has never drank cow’s milk. It’s not that we keep it from her, but she gets Momma milk (aka breastmilk) straight from the tap and water in her sippy cup and that’s pretty much it. She’s never really even shown interest in other things to drink like juice (she takes a sip and is normally done) or cows milk. Yet, she was eating a graham cracker the other day and James asked her if she wanted a glass of milk to go with it. She said yes and ever since will have a glass of milk here and there. Strange, but our little girl is growing up and making her own choices about what she likes and wants!

Remember the story about the amazing hideous kitchen mat that I bought because Reagan wouldn’t leave the store without it? At the time I joked about it not lasting that long anyway because I’d make sure a big jar of tomato sauce got spilled on it. Well, it wasn’t me, but it almost happened! Reagan was climbing around and knocked a brand new jar of spaghetti sauce off the counter and wow did it make a mess! Yet, it managed to mostly miss my most favorite kitchen mat… 😉

It was *this* close to landing right on my beloved kitchen mat! 😉

I’m not sure where Reagan found all these fruit snacks (between couch cushions?), but she knew shew as busted when I stumbled on her snacking away on them!
