  • Flabbergasted – Ray Blackstone
  • Winters Heat – Cristin Harber
  • Marked by the Vampire – Cynthia Eden
  • Garrison’s Creed – Cristin Harber
  • Westin’s Chase – Cristin Harber
  • Reaper’s Property – Joanna Wylde
  • Reaper’s Legacy – Joanna Wylde

  • Unafraid – Cat Miller
  • True North – Marie Force
  • Blind Love – M.S. Brannon

Summary

Overall this was a pretty good month for books, but no major stand outs except for the Joanna Wylde series; I went ahead and pre-ordered the next book, so it was pretty good!

Check out the other books I’ve read so far this year:

Painting fun

Reagan has really gotten into painting lately and Sunday it seemed like that’s all she wanted to do!

Reagan really got into her painting… so much so that she ended up in the bathtub as soon as she was done! (Not that it seemed to bother her that much!)

Later that same day, she decided she needed to do some more painting, so out came the paints and paper again!

Maroa Fireworks

Early Saturday evening we went to Maroa to have a cookout and see the Fireworks with the Feinsteins (work friends). There were plenty of kids for Reagan to run around with and the park we watched the fireworks from was the perfect location!

It was a really great firework display, but Reagan was definitely not that into it. She didn’t seem to like the loud noise and was fussy in general, but I think it was more tiredness than anything else.

All it took was a little bit of Mommy cuddles and baby girl was passed out and snoozing through the rest of the fireworks, grand finale, walk from the park back to the car, and the whole way home!!

Thirty months

Reagan Kay is thirty months (or 2.5 years) old today!!!

Happy 2.5 years old birthday!

Happy 2.5 years old birthday!

Reagan is becoming quite the big girl and is talking in complete sentences and picks up new words with no problem and uses them correctly.

Why? Why? Why? Why? Reagan’s been doing this for a while (since at least 26 months), but this month the why’s have happened more and more. It seems like everything involves a why these days! And every response turns into another why! We’ve actually started asking her – why do YOU think? Her responses have been pretty cute!

First, second, third. Now & later. Today & tomorrow – Reagan is understanding these terms and what they mean more and more and even using them herself. First cookies and then diaper change!

Starting to dress herself. Reagan isn’t doing this a lot, but here and there. If anything it’s more trying to get out of her clothes than in them!

Reagan has an amazing memory. Just the other day she was talking to me about “Feed fish bread at Windmont with Grandma & Grandpa.” I wasn’t exactly sure what she was talking about, but I asked my Mom about it and she said while she and Dad were watching Reagan when we were in Kewanee (beginning of June) they went to Windmont Park and fed the fish bread – exactly what Reagan remembered and had told me!

Reagan has really been enjoying the Elmo iPad game. She sits with Daddy and they’ll play together on it. The focus of the game is learning your letters.

Something else Reagan has really been enjoying is the Clifford sticker book I got her for the trip to Utah. She didn’t use it that much on the trip to Utah, but since then she’s really enjoyed looking at the different pages and putting the stickers on the book.

Reagan’s favorite foods are carrots and mommy milk… At least this is what she told a lady at the grocery store! My Mom and Reagan were at the grocery store and Reagan had a bag of carrots she was carrying around. A lady asked Reagan if carrots were her favorite food and Reagan said carrots and mommy milk!  LOL… too funny!!

Reagan enjoying the fresh air and running around!

Love this little girl!

Overall Reagan is a busy and funny little girl that is growing up WAY too fast! Can’t wait to see what the next six months bring!

Rummage sale

Thursday after work we headed to Liz and Steve’s to help get things set-up for their big rummage sale! We had a lot of our things in the sale from when we cleaned out the basement and there was a lot to do to get things ready for Friday morning!

Reagan ran around having fun looking at everything while we were busy sorting and putting things out and after all that exercise and some pizza for dinner, she pretty much crashed.

Crashed!!

Crashed!!

Yep, she totally crashed on a thin blanket on top of concrete! She was so dirty, but looked so sweet passed out like that! I guess toddlers really can sleep anywhere!!

Batter up

James got Reagan a wiffle ball set and has been working with Reagan on how to bat!

She’s not quite there yet, but it’s a lot of fun to watch her try!

Mixing mixing

Reagan loves to mix stuff… doesn’t matter what, but it definitely has to include eggs, flour, water, and sometimes sprinkles!

New tires

The only bad thing about coming home from vacation (other than the laundry) was that my car had a flat tire. We’d been fighting tire issues on my car and James finally said enough was enough and we headed to SAMS on Sunday to get all new tires put on my car.

James had already done his research online and new exactly what we wanted. Yet, Reagan thought she better best them out a little bit before we made our decision!

Flight home from Utah

Friday morning we got up early and headed to the airport. Our flight left mid-morning and we wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to get to the airport and get through security. Strangely, but nicely enough, because Grandma was flagged as being pre screened (?), she got to go through the quick line and we got to go with her! That left us plenty of time to get to our gate, get some breakfast, and have a little fun!

Fun at the airport with Daddy!

Big hugs!

The flight wasn’t that eventful, and Reagan was well behaved and napped most the time.  We got into St. Louis on time and made it home with no problems! It was a great trip and we were lucky to have my Mom join us for the experience!

Conference fun day 3

Thursday morning Reagan and my Mom had fun playing outside while we were busy at the conference.

We met up for lunch and then headed off in different directions again. Reagan and Grandma went to the pool – which was crazy since it it was snowing Tuesday and there was still snow on the ground Wednesday morning!

Kona and James went to a couple of sessions before it was time for Kona’s presentation! It was well attended and people seemed to get a lot out of the session!

In the evening it was 80’s night and the Richland people (plus Reagan and Grandma) dressed up like the Lambda Lambda Lambda fraternity from Revenge of the Nerds!

We had a great time and Reagan loved the candy ladies who had all kinds of 80’s candy and were handing it out for free to everyone!!
