James put up the girls new swing set this evening!
It was a lot of fun to see Reagan swinging and playing! It won’t be too much longer and Kennedy will be playing on it as well!

Fun while building the new playhouse!
Over the last few days we’ve completely cleaned our bedroom and Reagan’s room, like clean, clean! As part of this cleaning I decided to shampoo the carpet in both rooms as well as the hall area outside Reagan’s room and the living room rug and furniture! Yes, quite ambitious, but it definitely needed it!
Reagan wanted to watch me shampoo the carpet in our bedroom so I told her she could watch from the bed, but she had to stay there until I was done. She made herself a pillow fort and got herself ready to watch. Before I was even done she was passed out on the bed, with the shampooer going and everything! Guess watching someone shampoo the carpet isn’t that interesting… 😉
The downstairs has turned into a messy disaster. We’ve basically been just dumping things down there instead of putting them away since December. In addition, the smaller storage room was a huge mess as well. 🙁
I told James I really wanted to get it all cleaned up and organized, but that I needed a new set of shelves on the wall where we currently have a table (which was really cutting into storage space).
Jame definitely came through and even helped me cleaned stuff out so he could put up the shelves!
I’m super excited to have the new shelves and Reagan seemed to enjoy trying them out to make sure they were set up correctly and would hold plenty of stuff!
Tuesday I came home to a big surprise! James and Reagan had decorated the inside of our house with Christmas lights!
I was extremely surprised as this was the first time we’ve ever hung Christmas lights anywhere inside or outside the house (except for on the tree), but absolutely loved it!
James and Reagan then followed up with some Christmas music and dancing! How appropriate!
We *finally* got our new driveway! After numerous delays due to the weather the weather was dry and warm (at least warmer) today!
The guys started a little after 8am and worked on it until after 1pm! We kept busy taking care of some stuff inside and out, and even got a walk in!
Reagan was pretty cute walking around in her cowgirl boots and reading from her “guide” book and telling us what to do and where to go on our walk.
The drive looked pretty nice when it was finished and Reagan and I had to take a quick walk to check it out!
Our driveway is pretty sad looking so after a lot of thinking it through we finally decided to move forward with getting our driveway, from the house to the bridge, tar and chipped.
The first step was to clear off all the extra loose gravel (which we had moved to other parts of the driveway) and get the area by the back door (which was bricked) built up and ready!
Now it’s a waiting game for the weather to get nice enough (and dry) so they can come and actually tar and chip it!
In preparation of the party we hosted back in July we did a lot of decorating work to the downstairs! Here are some pictures of what we did!
